Letter from the President…
A brief introduction of myself, for those who may not know me….
I am the Teen Court Coordinator for Lake County. I don’t hesitate to tell anyone I meet that I have the best job in the world! I have been the FATC Secretary for the last two years and made it my mission to maintain a current listing of Teen Court Coordinators throughout the state. I will continue that task as President, so look for continued emails asking about updates. I have proudly served as a founding committee member of the National Youth Court Association and am very excited about the national recognition and growth of Teen Court programs. It is a thrilling time to be in our field! I stay involved locally as a member of the Lake County Juvenile Justice Board, the Circuit 5 Juvenile Justice Board, Lake County Shared Services Network, Safe Climate Coalition, Truancy Intervention Committee, and the Family Law Advisory Group. My previous work experience includes Child Abuse Investigations; Counselor, Counseling Supervisor, Forensic Interviewer and Interim Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center; Therapist for students in an alternate educational placement and Middle School Teacher. I have a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and have completed graduate coursework in School Counseling at the University of Florida. I am married, have a 14 month old daughter and two pug dogs. I enjoy traveling, photography, scrapbooking and jigsaw puzzles.
